The Core Open Mic is back!!!!

I am super excited to welcome young performers to our open mic on Tuesday October 22nd at 6pm.  Our open mic is all about nurturing young musicians in our community.  The vibe is super friendly, positive, relaxed and encouraging! Young people are given a platform to perform and share their music. Performers aged 12-18 (of all genres) are welcome to participate or even just come along, hang out and support other young musicians.

Over the years, many young people have had their first taste of live performance and have gone on to perform at our annual showcases,  festival stages and beyond.  I’m a firm believer that a gig is worth a thousand rehearsals and it is fantastic way to learn, develop and hone your craft. Do it amongst your peers who are all in the same boat and are supporting one another in the process. We have had all sorts of music from trad to rap, classical to pop and rock to country. Everyone is welcome!

The open mic is hosted on the mezzanine of Ballina Arts Centre and has very chilled out, café like atmosphere. If you or your friend would like to perform please register here to avoid disappointment. Click here to register
